Chambered Mufflers  --  "PowerSticks"

We have been getting a lot of requests lately for this.  As you probably know, General Motors offered Chambered exhaust as a unique factory option on selected performance cars from the mid to late 60's.  Corvettes, Z-28's COPO 427 Camaros & Yenkos, Chevelle SS big blocks, and Olds 442's were some of the vehicles this option was offered on.  When Chrysler was developing the AAR Cudas & T/A Challengers for 1970, Chambered exhaust was intended for use on these vehicles to offer awesome performance & sound, but production cars never got the unique exhaust.  Now you can run real Chambered mufflers on your special ride - new or old!

The old chambered mufflers were not true performance mufflers because they "necked down" significantly internally.  Not so with these Powersticks!  (Note:  3" units do neck down to a little more than 2.5" right now).  Way better flow with that same chambered sound.  Case in point, we recently took off a set on the '69 Roadrunner pictured in the Mopar B-Body section.  We were getting ready to do some prototype work.  We checked the Chambered Muffs on the 2.25" pipes and measured 1 7/8" max at the entrance.  Needless to say 2.25" pipes on this Roadrunner were way too small, but the Chambered Muffs worsened the situation.  This will definitely not be the case with the Powersticks!

Ideal for late-model performance vehicles!  Catalytic converters can knock-out a lot of good sounding exhaust note on V-8's.       Replacing OE mufflers with POWERSTICKS can really "wake-up" the exhaust tone. 
Straight-through, unrestricted design greatly increases exhaust flow cfm, & reduces backpressure.  This can result in lowering engine temperature, better fuel economy & more horsepower!
Ideal for vintage street rods & muscle cars when you are looking for an aggressive exhaust sound & optimum flow!

NOTE:  Although these mufflers are "straight" as far as inlet and outlet, they can be used with the Muffler Offset Adapters (see Muffler page towards the bottom) in 2½" or 3" to help with matching up to existing alignments of your present exhaust. These will work directly with our NASCAR-Chambered Exhaust Systems.  See www.torquetechexh.com/nascar.htm

NOTE: Overall length is approximate. Inlet / Outlet bushing lengths can vary some.  Use the body length to determine what muffler will best fit your application.  It may be necessary for an installer to shorten or lengthen the bushings, or modify the diameter for proper fit into your application.  Powerstick bushings are expandable.  An experienced exhaust installer will know how much the steel will stretch.
