3" GM G-Body "Single System"

Application: 1978-88 Regal, Cutlass, Grand Prix, Malibu, Monte Carlo, and El Camino/Caballero.

This 3" Single System is designed for those needing or wanting to save some vehicle weight. The basic version reaches far enough forward to meet the Downpipe or Manifold Y-Pipe on V8 vehicles. This eliminates the Catalytic Converter. If you wish to hook up to the "Cat", then purchase (GMG30301 or GMG30311) as it includes the 4-Bolt mounting flange.

NOTE: If your vehicle has a 4-Bolt mounting flange in front of the Catalytic Converter, then you will need to use the appropriate Part # below which includes the 4-Bolt Flange. You will need to cut the Intermediate Pipe to the needed length and weld the flange to it.

NOTE: This Single System was not intended to be run with a Catalytic Converter, but it can be done by shortening the Intermediate Pipe, purchasing a 4-Bolt Flange which you will weld to the front of the intermediate pipe that will be mounted to either your existing Catalytic Converter or to a new Hi-Flow "Cat".

For G-Body vehicles with 2.75" or 2.5" pipe coming from the Header Y-Pipe or from the Turbo Regal Downpipe; the 3" Intermediate Pipe can be used, but will require "fill" welding of the gap between the smaller pipe and the 3" Intermediate Pipe. Use GMG30300.

For G-Body vehicles with a 4-Bolt Flange for mounting a "front & rear" Flanged Catalytic Converter, use GMG30301.
