As we all know, the purpose of Balance Tubes and/or "H-Pipes" is to equalize the exhaust pulses which minimizes backpressure. It also helps quiet the exhaust system tone, especially on 2.5" systems. We highly recommend the use of them on all V8 applications
When placed according to instructions, the balance tube will equalize the pulses coming from the header collectors thus creating a smoother flow through the exhaust system. This means less backpressure and horsepower loss. We know that on the 2.5" system it will significantly reduce the sound level with the bigger cams and the same is true to a lesser degree with the 3" systems. The following Kits fit our Torque Tech systems and should fit others.
| NOTE: We do not pre-install Balance Tubes basically for two reasons: |
| (1) an ideal installation location can vary from engine to engine, and, |
| (2) they can present installation problems if either header is not pointing straight back. |

Kit
A - Straight Piece of pipe
Simply contains one piece of tubing which you cut to length, cut the holes in sides of headpipes and weld in place. Comes with instructions and instructions to help you determine your specific "ideal" location..
Kit B -- 2 pieces of pipe, slipped together,
cut to length & welded into place.

KIT B
Contains two pieces of pipe along with one SS Band Strap Band Clamp. One of
the pieces of tubing has one end expanded for the other tube to slip into. You
simply slip the two pieces together, cut to length, cut the holes in the sides
of the headpipes, weld into place, and clamp with the Band Clamp for Sealing.
This allows the option of disassembly for easy tranny removal if it should
become necessary. Comes with instructions.
